SELEX Galileo is one of Europe’s leading avionics companies, and the UK’s foremost supplier of electronic systems for military platforms in the air, at sea and on land. The organisation has major sites in southern England as well as the facility at Crewe Toll in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Edinburgh site operates primarily in the design, development and manufacture of Radar and Laser Systems.

Product/Research Description

The award winning Edinburgh site boasts two Manufacturing Centres of Excellence, a Microelectronics Centre of Excellence and a Laser Centre of Excellence, both of which demonstrate the company’s world leading technology which is at the forefront of the global military laser and airborne radar markets. Current activity includes: – design, development and manufacture of lasers for a wide range of airborne platforms including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, design, development and manufacture of active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar systems design, development and manufacture of laser transmitters for Directional Infrared Counter Measure systems. The company has won a number of accolades including :- the Queens Award for Export.
